Confined 12 Thank You Packs

Thelma and Ash, two of The Torch In Community artists, came into the office last week to put together Thank You packs for all of the 331 artists whose works were exhibited in Confined 12 earlier this year.

Each year, after the Confined exhibition, The Torch produces a full-colour catalogue of all the artworks in the exhibition for the Confined artists. The catalogues are also used in promotions, sent to major funders and supporters, and distributed to other First Nations people in Victoria’s prisons to encourage participation in our program.

This year’s Thank You pack includes the Confined 12 catalogue, a printed record of all the media coverage and visitor comments during the exhibition, a catalogue of The Torch’s Banj Banj/nawnta exhibition at the Counihan Gallery in August, and a letter from Kent Morris, our Chief Executive Officer. Artists in prison also receive a small liner brush to use in their painting.

Production of the stunning Confined catalogue is supported each year by Michael Wilkinson and Michael Bannenberg at Wilkinson Publishing, with design by our very own Sean Miller, artwork photography by Mick Bell, event photography by James Henry and Tiffany Garvie, and printing by Ellikon Fine Printers.
