Stretching, Shipping & Returns

Stretching

All paintings can be stretched for you so that they are ready to hang. The cost to you will be the same as the cost to us, a very competitive rate from our long-time suppliers and supporters, Melbourne Rd Art & Canvas Stretching.

Your stretched and ready to hang painting will come complete with D-rings, hanging wire, and a small artwork label affixed to the back. All of our artworks are accompanied by an Artwork Certificate.

Box framing is also available from our partners, Melbourne Rd Art & Canvas Stretching, in a range of timbers. Please email salescoordinator@thetorch.org.au for more details.

Some of our paintings are painted close to the edge of the canvas, and don’t have a border wide enough for standard stretching. These artworks will be ‘strip-lined’ with a quality cotton edging. The face of the finished artwork will look identical to a standard painting, and generally little to no artwork image will be lost. As this is a boutique process, these paintings must be stretched by The Torch and are not available to be shipped as unstretched artworks.

Artworks can be collected from The Torch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 1-5 pm. Once your artwork is ready we will contact you to arrange the collection time. Please allow up to three weeks for artworks that require stretching.
