We’re thrilled to announce that seven talented First Nations artists from The Torch program will be exhibiting in the Linden Postcard Show 2025, running from 6 September to 2 November at Linden New Art, St Kilda.
Now in its 35th year, the Linden Postcard Show is a beloved fixture in Melbourne’s arts calendar. It’s a celebration of creativity, diversity, and accessibility—welcoming hundreds of artists from across Australia to exhibit side by side. With up to 1,000 small-to-medium artworks on display, the show offers a unique opportunity for artists to connect with a broad and enthusiastic audience.
This year, the following Torch artists are exhibiting:
• Alisha F (Wadawurrung people)
• Ash Thomas (Yorta Yorta/Wiradjuri peoples) – one of the winners of The Acland Street Village Business Association Locals Award for his piece Through My Ancestors Eyes (Goanna).
• Flick Chafer-Smith (Ngarrindjeri people)
• Narnz (Gunaikurnai/Barkindji/Wurundjeri/Bundjalung peoples)
• Tupun Wultatinyeri (Ngarrindjeri/Kukabrak peoples)
• Thelma Beeton (Palawa people)
• Sonia Sadler (Torres Strait Islands peoples)
Each of these artists brings a distinct voice and cultural perspective to their work, contributing to the vibrant mosaic of stories that make the Linden Postcard Show so special. Their participation not only showcases their artistic talent but also highlights the importance of creating new pathways for First Nations artists who have been impacted by the criminal justice system.
We invite you to visit the Linden Postcard Show 2025 and immerse yourself in the powerful stories on display.
