Narnz Gunaikurnai/Barkindji/Wurundjeri/Bundjalung people

Naarnz is a proud Gunaikurnai, Wurundjeri, and Bundjalung artist with deep Barkindji connections through her late husband and the father of her children. A self-taught multidisciplinary artist, she weaves, crochets, and paints—a practice she has nurtured throughout her life but embraced with newfound confidence over the past six years.

Her art is deeply personal, drawing inspiration from emotional experiences, cultural stories passed down through generations, and her own journey of self-discovery. Through her work, Naarnz expresses love, truth, resilience, and growth, hoping that each viewer connects with her pieces in their own way.

For Naarnz, creating art is more than an expression—it is a form of healing, a connection to mob and culture, and a way to contribute to keeping culture alive. Painting has been a guiding light through some of her darkest moments, offering focus, strength, and purpose.

Still on a path of cultural exploration, Naarnz continues to grow both artistically and spiritually. Through her work, she shares her story while inviting others to find their own meaning within her art, fostering connection, support, and a deeper appreciation of culture.
