Life is never a straight line. It bends, fractures, and reroutes—clouded by moments of uncertainty, resilience, and growth. Journey Lines explores the multi-layered experiences that shape who we are.
Each painting represents a distinct chapter: threads of cultural identity, self-discovery, motherhood, personal tests, and ongoing transformation. Together, these works form a visual map of lived experience and personal truth.
Presented in partnership with Lander & Rogers as part of their Gallery Project 35 initiative, this exhibition reflects a shared commitment to empowering First Nations artists and amplifying underrepresented creative voices.
Within these canvases, twisting paths and structural turns echo the unpredictability of life—the reality of endings, fresh starts, and the moments where life doubles back on itself for lessons to be relearnt. A unifying element throughout the body of work is the use of metallic tones. These shimmering surfaces represent the silver lining in every moment, inviting the viewer to look more closely and find hope amid complexity.
Journey Lines isn’t about reaching a final destination. It is a celebration of the journey itself—learning, evolving, and carrying every experience forward.
