My name’s C. Kane, I’m a proud Latje Latje, Meru man. I've been making art now for around three years. So, I learned to paint, basically self-taught, everything I've done has been self-taught. And Uncle Skip, I'd met him in prison, he was my inspiration, he was always there supporting me. The themes I like to explore in my artwork are my stories.

The torch has helped with my artistic journey like you wouldn't believe. I didn't believe I could draw paint. I couldn't draw a picture to save my life. But soon as I started painting, it just come naturally. It's in us.
