Sean Miller Gamilaroi people
Sean is a proud Gamilaroi man currently living on Wurundjeri Country. He expresses his cultural identity and connection to heritage through a diverse artistic practice that includes ceramics, woodwork, painting, and photography. Working with clay and wood offers Sean a powerful, hands-on link to Country—echoing the traditions of his ancestors who shaped the land and carved trees for ceremony.
Sean first became involved with The Torch in 2011 as an In-Prison participant, marking the beginning of a significant journey in his artistic development.
His work is held in several major public and private collections, including:
• National Gallery of Australia
• National Gallery of Victoria
• Koorie Heritage Trust
• Shepparton Art Museum
