Karlie (Wallumattagal People) is a self-professed ‘army brat’ who moved around a lot as a child. Since joining the Torch Program, she has begun to paint and learn weaving and enjoys trying new techniques. Karlie’s work is about ‘animals that represent different areas of my life and family’ she says. ‘It really helps with my ADHD as it keeps my hands busy and…also helps to fill my days here’.
