Bron Jardwadjali people
Bron is a proud Jardwadjali woman who grew up in Werribee, away from her Country in the northern and western Gariwerd ranges. A self-taught artist, she began painting in mid-2024 and found joy in the process, but it is weaving that truly consumes her. Creating something from virtually nothing, she becomes lost in the rhythm of her work, where time disappears, and deep connection emerges.
For Bron, creating is more than just an artistic pursuit—it is a form of healing, both spiritually and mentally. Each brushstroke and woven thread carries with it a piece of her identity, a story of resilience, and a deep reverence for her culture. Through her work, she has found a profound sense of belonging, reconnecting with her culture in a way that words alone cannot express.
When people experience her art, Bron hopes to pass on the same feelings of passion, connection, and cultural pride that she pours into every piece. Whether through the bold strokes of her paintings or the intricate patterns of her weavings, her work invites viewers to reflect, connect, and feel the deep resonance of culture and Country.
