James is a proud Wiradjuri man living and working on Gunaikurnai Country. His artistic journey began with acrylic painting on canvas, using the materials available to him at the time. Over time, his practice evolved to include the creation of traditional artefacts such as boomerangs, didgeridoos, and clapsticks. Crafting these pieces deeply grounds James and strengthens his connection to culture, especially while living away from his own Country.
