T.J is a proud Yorta Yorta man born and raised on country. T.J is self-taught and first started painting while incarcerated as a way of connecting to culture and to pass time. T.J's work is centred around the idea of connection to country, he draws inspiration from the environment and traditional practices such as burning off.
