Tasha Lacco Minang people
Tasha Lacco is a Minang woman who went to the Aboriginal College in Healesville but spent most of her younger years in Frankston on Bunurong Country. She has been painting for only a couple of years, learning her skills and passion for art from her Mother. Her work often features animals and landscapes, brought to life through the use of bright, vibrant colours that reflect her connection to nature and her cultural identity. While painting remains at the heart of her practice, Tasha enjoys experimenting with different mediums such as wood burning, airbrushing, and carving. No matter the form, creating art brings her joy and allows her to explore new ways of expressing her stories and connection to Country.
