Dylan Bailey is a Gunaikurnai man whose art practice blends traditional storytelling with contemporary expression. Drawing on his cultural heritage and lived experiences, Dylan's works explore identity, resilience and connection to Country, while also reflecting his perspective as a young Aboriginal artist in today's world. His style is rooted in in traditional Gunaikurnai designs and symbolism, often incorporating patterns and motifs that reflect the natural world and spiritual connections. He also experiments with colour, form, and modern techniques creating pieces that feel both timeless and innovative.
Since beginning his creative journey, Dylan has exhibited in six Confined exhibitions and one Future Dreaming exhibition with The Torch as well as several pop-up exhibitions across Melbourne. Dylan is steadily building recognition on for his work and sharing his stories with diverse audiences.
