Beauty from Sadness for Our People

My people were taken to a place called Kow Swamp to be slaughtered. In the back you have Pyramid Hill and Mount Terrick. The scar tree symbolises a burial ground to respect and pay tribute to my Yorta Yorta people. I am also Wiradjuri, so this is where the design on the tree comes from – Wiradjuri lines in the Yorta Yorta turtle totem of my grandmother.
