Reuniting Family (Mudjin)

This painting is my heart (boot boot). It shows my Future Dreaming for my family (mudjin), who are Daruga of the Darug people.

This painting shows me on my own, in jail, and it shows my daughters with their mothers (wiyangas). And then it shows myself in the future, with both my beautiful daughters, sharing the same camp, sitting around a fire (guwiyan) with the storyteller (yellamundi) passing on culture to my daughters through song and dance, with the sound of music made by clap sticks (yabun). Together my family (mudkin) speak in Dalang words of my native tongue.

I am (Ngagya) a happy father (biyanga) in my future dreaming. Let’s walk with good spirit (yenamala budyari gamada).
