SBDIC- Stop Black Deaths in Custody

This painting is about who I feel Indigenous men, women and children need help from. The top left circles represent the courts, bottom left is Parliament, bottom right is elders/mob and top right is the Department of Health and Human Services. After watching ‘Incarceration Nation’ on TV, I saw the racism and shame they bring upon our people. It is wrong, and more needs to be done in Parliament to support ALL Aboriginal & Torres Strait people.

Our kids need support to show them we may be hated by many but we are so strong and will never be bred out. We are not bad people and should be proud to be Black and Deadly. We are all one. These racist people have no right to judge as they all walk upon our proud land that our ancestors loved, cherished, and protected. I hate the hatred and most of my artwork is to help me heal my demons. Like my Ancestors did, we all have a story to tell. Be proud, be black, and stay safe. You are all deadly. Peace Out.
