The Wet Season

The lands lay baked, stressed, cracked and heaving under the oppressive humidity. The barramundi has been driven to the head waters of its birthlands. In the distance, clouds are filled with fire lights and grumbling moans from the burden of carrying waters from far-away seas. The time has come for the clouds to complete their labours and for the barramundi to fulfil its desires. The fish and the clouds unleash their energies to satisfy the parched lands and continue the survival of the young. This is the beginnings of the wet season.
