Dalwaji (dull-wah-jee) has a sacred travel line between four main watering places. At the end of every year she opens the gateway to a special place when she dances and brings on the thunder, lightning and rain at the start of the wet season, when brolgas find their partner for life. If one dies, the other dies too.
