This is a painting of the Goulburn and the Broken Rivers which meet at the back of the Victoria Lake Caravan Park in Shepparton. It’s where a lot of us Koories used to swim when we were young kids. Over the years, I have often came back to this place. I have had many fond memories: fishing and swimming and just being around other young brothers. It was a great time in my life. Nowadays, I go there because it’s quiet and peaceful. I can clear my head and gather my thoughts. I do receive a lot of positive energy from this place. When I leave I am recharged with overwhelming positive feelings inside. I love this place. The place of two rivers…..

What is artwork stretching?

Some of our paintings are painted close to the edge of the canvas, and don’t have a border wide enough for standard stretching. These artworks will be ‘strip-lined’ with a quality cotton edging. As this is a boutique process, these paintings must be stretched by The Torch and are not available to be shipped as unstretched artworks.

Some paintings may also be unavailable unstretched because they have already been stretched for use in exhibitions.
