A Time for Acceptance
$860
Here is a story of a gay Aboriginal man trying to fit into his tribe and find his way in life, trying to interact with his people but always being rejected by both sides because of tribal law. Not being able to dance, hunt or even gather with the women has made him feel an outcast and isolated within himself. Being fair-skinned has always been hard enough, rejected by darker-skinned others. He feels torn by both genders but not accepted by either of them. He doesn’t know or get given direction from his Elders because of his sexual preference.
The spirits represent Elders passed on but not forgotten. The dancers are dancing a dance that he can never do because of his sexual preference, but he’s always yearning to be part of it.
Being rejected by your people because of the way you live your life is so sad, and needs to change, so here is his story.
