Hunting in the Mallee

My painting is about my grandparents and the foods that were a part of their traditional diet. There was an abundance of food available to hunt and everybody had their favourites that they would pine for when back on Country. My pop loved to eat snake, lizards, goannas and possum but his favourite was the big red kangaroo, whereas my nan would rather boil up echidna. The middle ground was the Murray cod from the river.
