Serpent and Frog
$400
The story told in this painting is of the seprent and the frog. The story goes like this. There was a serpent underneath the water in the river and everyday when my grandfather and uncles and aunties would go down and hunt and fish for food, they would catch frogs and fish in the water everyday. Then they noticed there were less and less frogs and fish there to catch, to feed our tribe. Then finally the water got lower and lower and the serpent ate the last frog. The frog laughed so hard that all the water from the frogs belly gushed out of his mouth. It bust the serpents gut and filled the rivers again, which brought life back to the river and land.
