Wiradjuri Country Totems

The background represents all the different tribes throughout Australia coming together as one. There are different totems which represent the different tribes. The goanna is painted X-ray style where you can see the insides of the animal. This type of painting is common up north and was used to teach anatomy to help with hunting. The goanna is the Wiradjuri totem. The echidnas represent another tribe. There is also a Rainbow Serpent. He is the creator and is found all over Australia. I chose the bright colours because they catch people’s eyes.
