The long-necked turtle is my totem and represents my tribe, the Yorta Yorta people. Learning what my totem was made me feel happy, and made me excited to know what my tribe was. Because you see, I grew up in the welfare system from four years old until I was eighteen, away from my family.
The dotted circles represent camp sites and the dotted lines are walking tracks. The lines coming off the camp sites are little side tracks heading to the river.
