Bay of Fires

The Bay of Fires is in far north-east Tasmania and was named by a European explorer who saw the blaze of Aboriginal fires burning along the shores.

The black background is the darkness of the night that allows the fires to be clearly seen. The red and orange represent the fires burning in the dark. The blue is the water along the shore. The white is the Europeans that saw the fires burning.
