Burning of the Land #25, 2019

This series of paintings is inspired by the burning of the land (Aboriginal land management). The land is burnt to clear it of old dead growth and, in its place, new growth is encouraged.

Animals are attracted to the new growth which can be hunted for bush tucker. It’s a traditional cycle of life which keeps our young healthy and strong as they learn to hunt and gather.

This artwork can only be collected from The Torch office in St Kilda. The Torch can recommend couriers to be engaged and paid for by the buyer.
