Turtle Dreaming, 2018

$350

The story of this painting is from my adopted families, the people of the rainforest (from Cape York and Lockhart River, Queensland). The turtle is an important animal to the saltwater people, as we have lived on saltwater country for thousands of years. The dots represent all the different clans and tribes around Queensland and New South Wales. The white dots represent the different camp sites such as Chinaman Creek and The Rest. That’s the story of my painting.
